Wix is worth paying for if you enjoy DIY, have 20 to 40 spare hours and want to change things yourself, but it buys very little if the site sits half-finished. Remember that Wix gives you the tools, not the work. Your Google Business Profile, page titles, photos and reviews are still your job. In our experience, those are what get you found.

## Can you move off Wix later?

Not easily: Wix doesn't let you export your site to another platform, so the design has to be rebuilt. You can transfer your domain away and copy your words and photos.
