Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site. Here’s what we aim for, where we fall short, and how to tell us.
Updated 4 October 2026.
Short answer
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers things like colour contrast, keyboard use, text alternatives for images and clear forms. Some parts don’t fully meet it yet; they’re listed below. If something doesn’t work for you, email us and we’ll fix what we can.
Our target
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA across the site. It’s a widely used international standard, and it covers the needs of people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification and other tools.
When we find a part of the site that falls short, we either fix it or list it under “Known limits” below.
What we aim for on every page
- Headings in a logical order, so the page makes sense to a screen reader
- Text and buttons with enough colour contrast to read easily
- Everything usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Forms with clear labels, and error messages that say what to fix
- Animations that calm down if your device asks for reduced motion
- FAQ answers in the page itself, not hidden behind hover effects
- Text that can be enlarged without the layout breaking
Known limits
The site runs on JavaScript. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, most pages won’t display.
Some interactive tools, such as the website cost calculator and the area picker, are newer. They may not work perfectly with every screen reader yet.
Reviews are quoted from Google exactly as written. Links to other sites, such as Google, go to pages we don’t control.
Tell us if something doesn’t work
Email hello@websmarthq.com and tell us the page, what went wrong, and what device or assistive technology you use, if you’re happy to. We reply within 2 business days.
If you can’t use part of the site, we can send you the same information another way, such as a plain-text email.
