Café and restaurant websites for NZ hospitality
Change your hours once. We’ll make sure Google and your website agree.
Usually same day, always within 2 business days.
Short answer
A café or restaurant website needs four things on a phone: your menu as text, your hours, your location and a way to book. “cafe auckland” gets about 5,400 searches a month, yet clicks cost only ~$0.25 (ex GST, Oct 2026). So the win is Google Maps and reviews. Sites start at $499 + GST, or $899 + GST for five pages.
What a hospitality website must do
People looking at a café site are usually hungry and nearby. Give them answers fast.
- Show today’s hours at the top, matching Google
- Put the menu on the page as text, with dietary tags
- Make the address and map one tap away

- Make functions and group enquiries easy to send
- Load quickly on a phone, even on patchy mobile data

Cafés, restaurants and everything in between
Hospitality isn’t one thing. Here’s what we lead with for each.

Cafés

Food trucks and caterers

Google Maps and reviews do the heavy lifting
In our experience, most people choose a café from Google Maps, not from your website. They see your rating, your photos and your hours, then walk in. That’s why every package includes Google Business Profile setup.
Reviews matter more in hospitality than almost anywhere. A QR code on the table or the receipt makes leaving one easy. Our free Google review link tool makes one. To show up across more suburbs, see local SEO.

Can ChatGPT write my menu or website instead?
It can draft descriptions for dishes, and that’s handy. It can’t put your menu on a fast page, match your hours to Google, set up your Maps listing or keep it all current. Those are the bits that bring people through the door.

Café and restaurant website FAQ
Straight answers. Can’t see yours? Ask us.
How much does a café or restaurant website cost?
Ours are $499 + GST for a one-page site and $899 + GST for five pages. Both include SEO setup, a contact form, Google Maps setup, and domain and hosting for the first year. For comparison, Auckland agencies typically quote about $1,800 (small agencies) to $4,000 (large agencies) + GST for a small site, from our survey of 25+ published NZ prices (Oct 2026).
What makes a good restaurant website?
It answers a hungry person’s questions in seconds. Your menu as text, not a PDF. Today’s hours. A map and address. A way to book or order. Photos of real food and the real room. And it loads fast on a phone. Fancy animations and long welcome messages get in the way. Keep it simple.
Can I update my menu and specials myself?
You can, but most owners just email us. Small updates are included for the first year. A new dish, a price change or a seasonal menu is on our list, not yours. You’ll get a short “done” note when it’s live. After year one, our website support care tiers keep that going.
Can you add online bookings or ordering?
If you already use a booking or ordering service, we link your site to it with a clear button on every page. Tell us which one you use. If you need a booking or ordering system built from scratch, that’s a Business Pro build. We’ll price it before anything starts, so you know where you stand.
Will my opening hours on Google and on the website match?
Yes. We set up your Google Business Profile as part of every package and check the hours match your site. Public holidays are where most cafés slip up: Google shows normal hours and people turn up to a locked door. Email us your holiday hours and we’ll update both. Small updates are included for the first year.
Can ChatGPT write my menu or website instead?
It can draft dish descriptions or a few lines about your café, and that’s a fair use of it. But it can’t register your domain, build a fast page, set up your Google profile, or keep your hours right on both. Use AI for ideas if you like. The setup and upkeep are where the customers come from.
